The exhibition title is taken from the name of the technical office of its creators, civil engineer Andreas Papadopoulos and architect Phoebus Polydoridis. Focusing on their lives and work, the book charts the emergence of Cypriot Modernism as a symbol of independence and social transformation, highlighting the Carob Warehouse as one of its most important monuments. Alongside archival photographs, drawings, and documentation of the building—whose visible concrete structure and parabolic arches define both its form and function—the catalog contemplates the contemporary reactivation of the space. Simultaneously, it documents Aftermath, the site-specific installation using artificial intelligence by British artist Mat Collishaw, aiming to bridge the past and the future by immersing visitors in a hypothetical environment that addresses issues of technological and ecological transformation. The name PSI, derived from the Greek letter Ψ, refers to the building itself: the inverted form of the letter, which its facade resembles, is a central visual motif and dominates the concrete-textured across all elements. A large-format logo, paragraphs set in a capitalised monospaced typeface, and typography arranged on concentric circular paths reflect the circular brand motto, “We Are All Going to Make It.”&nbsp;The system uses a single box design: a white box featuring only type. A slit in the box holds a removable coaster, with a unique design for each coffee variety. Replacing traditional labels, these coasters&nbsp; allow the coffee shop to use one universal box across its entire range. Once the box is discarded, a coaster can still be used. After it’s sales expanded globally In the resent years, the need for an identity refresh and rebranding grew. Maintaining the typographic style of the Tsiakkas name itself, small changes have been made to the letterforms, in order to achieve better balance. The greek letterforms were then combined with the word winery in English. To mark its 19th consecutive year, the 2024 visual identity design brings the number 19 to the forefront. This number is composed of gradient blocks that are mathematically shifted and scaled, culminating in an upward-centered movement. It serves as the designer's visual representation of the emotional journey the festival offers its audience through its diverse genres, topics, locations, stories, and artistic directions. This concept is further explored in an animation (shown before each screening) that deconstructs the gradient pattern in a playful way, paired with typographic elements that provide context and information about the featured documentaries. The inverted form of the letter, echoed in the building’s façade, serves as a central visual motif and informs the visual identity developed for PSI Foundation. A bold monospaced typeface was selected for the logo, reflecting the strong, geometric character of the building’s concrete Modernist architecture. Originally built as a carob warehouse, the building has since been transformed into a contemporary art institution, and the robust typographic treatment creates a visual connection between its industrial past and its current cultural role.
