Lemesos, after development what?

book design, urbanism
A book that questions the so-called 'development' of Limassol and discusses the lack of urban planning, that allowed architectural chaos to become the permanent state of the city throughout the years. The book is composed of essays, maps, photographs, the documentation of an exhibition and a guided tour of neglected areas and buildings worth seeing. The use of a cardboard cover and an open spine, strip down the book to its bare essence. The letter Λ (L) – for Λεμεσός (Limassol/Lemesos) – takes a 3 dimensional, monumental shape. The cover is printed with white mat foil stamping.  Gold foil was used for a small batch of limited edition copies.
