19^th LIDF

The Lemesos International Documentary Festival is one of the city’s most beloved and long-standing events. To mark its 19th consecutive year, the 2024 visual identity design brings the number 19 to the forefront. This number is composed of gradient blocks that are mathematically shifted and scaled, culminating in an upward-centered movement. It serves as the designer's visual representation of the emotional journey the festival offers its audience through its diverse genres, topics, locations, stories, and artistic directions. This concept is further explored in an animation (shown before each screening) that deconstructs the gradient pattern in a playful way, paired with typographic elements that provide context and information about the featured documentaries. The pink and green gradient ties together a variety of visual materials used to promote the festival.
